hoping to keep the climb going after a productive weekend. Posting these early b/c I think the lines will move against me if I had waited. Maybe more later...

1 unit:
SD +116...Really like how Young's been throwing the ball this year, and Myers showed that a talented righty can shut down the Rockies on their home court.

STL -143...Hoping Edmonds is in the lineup but regardless, Maholm has been awful, not just with his stuff but his control. Thought this line was going to open up alot higher...

SD -1.5 +171...See above.

NYM team total over 4.5...Don't understand how this isn't higher. Really considered putting more units on this, but i'm flat-betting to gauge ability and keep a level head. Reasons for this play? Mets' offense one of the more potent lineups in the majors, facing Sosa who has been downright terrible thus far. Struggles with control, erratic, equals walks and opportunities. Throw in that shitty ATL bullpen, and you've got all the makings...only downside? Beltran questionable/probable. Fuck it. Start of a huge series for both squads, I look for NYM to get the dub and light up the scoreboard.

More on Sosa...
0-2, in 6 INNINGs he's given up 11 hits, 10 runs (8 earned), 6 walks. Over 2 games. ouch. Guess one thing he has going for him is that he'll be well rested, having only pitched 4 innings last time out, and 2 innings the first time. Awesome.

Update:
found out that pinny didn't grade my Chisox -1 play yesterday because it went 5 innings only, their rules state that a run line play is official only if game goes 9 (or the rules for totals).

So the record really is 29-35, -5.14 units
bullshit but oh well...hopefully getting more back today.
