Because by the time the St. Louis betting is finished.. Pirates +150 to +160, and Alt Runline around +300 will be the best play I have seen ALL YEAR so far. You may never see a game with this much value for the rest of the season.

Reasons?

Yes Marquis was lousy last year vs Pitt, but Maholm? If anything play it over.

I almost played Pitt but they just smell too bad and I have a rule against such garbage teams, I'm trying to stick with.

wow.

This is surprising comming from a capper that I respect. Im on the other side but that does not mean im right and your wrong.

What did you think the line was going to be?

I thought it was pretty close to what I was expecting it to be.

I agree with that 100%. Most trends suck.

don't think Pitt is bad as they have played (and they have played bad) and am not as big on St.Louis as everyone else is (seem to have be slightly inflated number everyday).

Had my line at Pitt +115. so looking for anything over +130. Just a value play. Not big on Marquis on road with such a high number. Also had Cincy today and Pujols ruined a great day, so maybe I want a little revenge.

Chop.. When I put myself in "Public Thinking" mode, I expected Cards -170 to -180.. I saw the opening line and was puzzled.

Wagerline has 219-59 on Cards (78.8%) right now, confirming my "Public Thinking" suspicions. This line is almost certain to move towards -175 IMO.

I spent last hour handicapping the game and I just can't stop adoring the Pirates in this spot. I think the books are on top of their game here.

I'll have a big writeup tomorrow (similar to my Nats-Marlins one I gave the other day).

really thought STL would open higher, considering how bad Maholm's been. don't know that this a play of the year tomorrow night when the line goes up. locked in STL at -143, gonna stick with that, felt good about it, still do.
If the line goes up to +150 or so like i feel it will, maybe i'll scalp. doubtful though. Maholm hasn't shown anything, and i don't expect a letdown from Marquis and the Cards, specially after he was integral in winning tonight and STL needs to start their road show well

Ill tell you what.....I bought into this Maholm guy and he has disappointed me to date.........not saying that it wont change but.....

Has a 7.71 era. and has given up 10 earned runs in 11 innings pitched thus far. You do what you gotta do.....Ill pass. To me thats all the handicapping that Ill do on this game.

If the line doesn't move any higher, I think the sharps are all over the Pirates here. Again, not my reasoning for picking the game, but it gives me a little confidence after handicapping the game.

Well first of all, public betting in baseball is usually correct. ANd of course St Louis has dominated Pitt during the past 3 years, EVERYONE dominates Pitt!!

Having said that, I will not play this game, there will be MUCH BETTER options out there

Marquis 'batting' tonight have anything to do with this?

Like I said earlier I almost pulled the trigger for two units but, it's still the Pirates and still Maholm

I just dont see any reason to take pitt. I had enough confidence to take cards -1.5. Cant wait for the write up.
