What Do You Think of a Capper Who Consistently Beats the Closing Line in MLB?

If you could track a capper's picks and see that he consistently beats the closing line, what would you think this says of that capper's abilities? How much would it affect your judgement if say he beat the closing line more often than not versus he averaged beating the closing line by 3 cents each game? Pretty clear test to determine whether this capper is a significant winner?

Joe,
There's no easy way of saying this, your flogging a dead Horse, your question has too many assumptions. Its not hard to find the best line and consistantly post it on here, some even put in ficticous lines but bet so many games its impossible to keep up with them, thats why so many posters appear to do well. However, in the real World things are a little different, a missed line, knocked back on stake, no account there, lack of funds all contribute a negative effect and thats only the poster himself. Added to all that, the follower may miss a winning play, be paying extra vig etc until you have the ridiculous situation of a poster saying he is up X units and the follower scratching his head wondering where he went wrong. :drink:

WHY?

If you have 3-4 outs and especially Pinnacle and 5 Dimes overnights, two of the very best baseball books, it's not that hard to get a good price....all the games I bet are with those two books, if I post a pick it is from those current odds, because I just made the bet there.

You won't always get the best odds no matter who you are.

EG, I posted +135 on Pittsburgh B/c thats what I got, but could have posted +142 which is at a book i dont have. If like some here who play 17 games every day +160 would go unnoticed, soon adds up.:drink:

Yes, Winbet I agree that is a hugely important issue. I know of cappers who sneak an extra point into their record in basketball and pickup 4% on their winning record. And then you have to watch the vig and make sure that is available too. Very familiar with all this. But lets assume all that is okay.

Now look at someone who beats the closing line. Let's say a capper can do it 50% of the time? How about 75% of the time? Nearly every pick? Just trying to determine the impact on evaluating a capper that beating the closing line has. No idea myself so thought I'd ask the sharps around here.
