I live in Atlanta, and getting tired of the hustle and bustle(traffic in particular). I want to move north along the east coast, but in an area that's growing, fun, good to raise kids, and just not so many damn people all the time. i.e. I go into Wal-Mart last night at 2am to buy an office chair and there are 2 lines 8 strong in each. I was thinking Tennesse, does anyone know an area of Tennessee thats good or eastern VA? Thx.

I was chatting with a couple from Tennessee at the bar a few weeks ago that lived 60 miles north of Chattanoga at the base of the hills and they said there is no place better that they have ever lived or visited.

No severe climate on either end of the spectrum.
