If prices are at $3 per gallon here in upstate South Carolina, I could absolutely believe $4.50 a pop in NYC.

I still can't believe that the media isn't turning its' attention to the chief culprit, General Motors. About 25 years ago, a man designed a carburator that got almost 100 miles to the gallon. Rather than produce it, GM bought the patent for an exorbitant sum and has sat on it ever since. Bastards.

Any Ethanol stock is the hot stock to get into right now if you want a quick ROI. Ethanol gets mixed into gas to make it cheaper and more environmentally safe.

Would be happy to name a few that went up at least 50% in one day. (Penny Flippers) And much more to come.

It is really bad when the prices get so rediculous, we refer to a gallon of gas as 'a pop'

I am contemplating buying prepaid gas cards at a 15% discount. I found a link from a popular site called Fatwallet. It sounds scamish, but I guess if you use a credit card you are covered. I am posting a link to the thread. I hope that is allowed.

It will get much worse before it gets any better.

The government should do something.

Yeah, they could start by stopping themselves from printing so much money...which is a primary reason oil/gas prices have been rising.

Since we import over 60% of our oil used for gasoline, as the dollar falls in value (from increased dollar money supply), the price of oil rises and thus gasoline rises.

Apparently the price of gas in Iran at this moment is......

6 cents/gallon.

That's crazy.

Saw it today when I was in Brooklyn.

I have idiots in my town posting signs saying boycott gas on May 1, (Like that would do anything.) It's not like we have a choice.
