ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The San Francisco 49ers now have two first-round picks in this month's NFL draft.
The Niners acquired the 22nd overall selection in the draft from the Denver Broncos on Wednesday for picks in the second round and third round.
The Broncos will receive the 37th and 68th overall picks in the deal.
The Niners own the sixth overall pick in the draft as well as No. 22 in the first round.
The New York Jets are the only other team with two first-round picks in the April 29 draft.
The Broncos now own seven picks in the first four rounds. They have the 15th overall selection after moving up from 29th in a deal with Atlanta.
Denver had acquired the 22nd overall pick from Washington in a trade last April.

Could be! What do you think it would take to get Houston to move the pick? 3 first rounders?

I could see that happening. It all depends what the Texans do though.

I don't think it would take much for the Texans to trade the pick, they're not sold on Bush and I think all it would take would be the 2 1st rounders this year and a 2nd or a third next year

Is that really all they could get for moving down 15 picks...the 68th pick?

Actually, based on the trade value charts its pretty even.

22 pick = 800 points value

37 pick= 560 value
68 pick= 260 value total value 820

Do not like the deal for the 49ers as they have sooo many needs. Maybe they are looking at a running back there at 22 or wr.

Denver may trade either this or its own 2nd round pick to Green Bay for Javon Walker

If the 49ers proposed a trade consisting of their two first rounders + their first rounder next year, that would be more than acceptable. :) GO TEXANS!

You make a move to go to 37 from 22 because 1st and 2nd round makes a huge difference when it comes time to sign these guys. Most would agree an early 2nd and late 1st means little in likely talents, but can make a big difference in the cap hit you take.

No way. With the money they've invested in him. They're gonna at least give him 3-4 years and try to actually give him some offensive weapons and protection.

The only way i could see houston not taking Bush and moving down is if they were gauranteed to get D'brick....who is actaully the player they need for that team right now.
