Let's say you were able to take leads and were ahead of the line movements about 75-80% of the time, and had little movement 10-15% of the time, and the rest of the time the lines moved against you sligthly. Would you rather ride the games out, or lock in a profit by scalping the games. If you could scalp and make roughly $200 a day would you do that? Or would you rather ride it out, where you would PROBABLY make more money, but have 100% risk involved? And remember, we are talking longterm.....all season.

I have a feeling what most people would say on this, but let's open it up for debate.

This is for bases of course, and assuming you have a sufficient bankroll to pull it off.

$200 a day x 7 = 1400 a week, x 52 weeks = 67,200.

umm i would def. scalp if i was real good at perceiving line movements and shit.
i actually think that i'm prettyh good at baseball at it, knowing which way the public will shift that line, but damn...dont think i could make $200 a day doing it

agree w/ dsethi, $200/day is a lot to make. You need a big movement to cover the juice. say you get 100/135, the favorite is 155/100, which means the favorite has to drop to 130 to make scalping available. Then it depends how much you have on the game. A big play of 5 units (assuming $100 units) only gets you $25, I don't think anyone is good enough to do that 8 times per day, let along 8 per day on a consistent basis.

Plus, you still need the dog to win to get the scalp, you break even otherwise.
