agree cintron and klitschko but like weber

The first two fights were in Weber's back yard and Cast got a win and a draw. This fight is in Castaneda's hometown and its the first time Weber has left the state of Ohio. Cast has fought and beat much better opposition and Weber's only decent opponent was a washed up Manfreddy. Why do you like Weber in this tough spot?

Can you tell me why you like Klistchko?

I was thinking about taking a shot on Byrd but I'm a novice.

Klit over Bird

I can tell you why. Klitschko already beat Byrd easy. He has an exposed glass chin but Byrd doesn't hit hard enough to check it. Byrd was faster and more elusive when he fought Klitschko the first time. Now he likes to sit and trade more. Klitschko is just to big for Byrd. My prediction is that Klitschko coasts to a decision behind his very heavy jab. There have been reports of a bad training camp for Klitschko because of all of the pressure for him to win this fight but I don't think that will matter.

boxlox i hear that castaneda is looking old in the gym but he was still made the favorite so someone must know something and are looking at it like you are. they keep telling me zepeda was all over him before getting caught. i do think i remenber he was hurt in that fight.

i think i will switch and go with your pick castaneda. never thought weber was much anyhow.

Hitman...I think Byrd's only chance is Klit punching himself out and falling over from exhaustion. As posted at the other forum, I played Byrd in rounds 10-12 at +1200 as a small hedge.

Hilo...glad to see you're now with me on Castaneda, I can't see him getting less than a draw given the location of the fight. To be honest, with the scores of the first two fights in Weber's back yard, I think Cast wins this easily.

As far as the Zepeda fight goes, I thought it was Castaneda who was all over Zepeda. We all know Cast is not a big puncher, so he didn't catch Zepeda with a big shot. I watched the fight and saw Cast unload on Zep the entire 3rd round and forced the stoppage.

agree that byrd could win by ko due to past history of klitschko when he hits the wall. seemed to overcome that in peter fight.

the byrd of a few years ago could do that like against jimmy thunder where he would would make you throw so many shots that did not land clean and you were punched out at that point byrd would tap you with his shots and they would stop it cause the other fighter was out of gas. now he punches a bit harder because he can not move so much but also takes many more punches and can be hurt.

I'm with you guys on Klitschko. Wlad is too big for Byrd, and Byrd does not have the firepower to engineer a KO upset. The size/reach advantage of Wlad will be too much for Byrd to overcome and I suspcet Klitschko will lay back and punish Byrd with the jab. And in the fact that they're fighting in Germany, all signs point to a Klitschko (boring) win by decision.
