All the above was made much harder because of the noise and smoke in the place that was almost constant.
Anybody that worked at the Castaways Sportsbook for 1+ years had an instant edge in the industry because of the high standards, cortesy, and bookmaking lessons Sonny Reizner extended to everybody on a daily basis that worked there and is evident by the many diciples that were spawned from there over the years into the industry.
Often wonder how many of todays current ticket writers/cashiers could write or cash by hand..........very few I would imagine.
