DR03 Quits contest till JUNE?

Can you guys believe that? He says he is taking FIVE WEEKS OFF?

What do you guys think about this?

I should have made a fucking deadline. Didn't even think I would come across this problem. Because of the fact he has threatened 3 times now on ending the contest, I think he is just stalling. :monsters-

Well, to be fair to everyone involved, this is a BASEBALL capping contest, and baseball goes through October.

This is no different than if one were to simply play 1 play per day (with some days where no play was made) to get to 150 plays.

Just sit back, relax, & keep making Chop's plays until he gets to 150 plays, then collect the $1,000 in October. Not bad - a 100% ROI in a 6-month time period.

Damn right TN. He knows he can't win and now he is just going to make me wait longer for the money. Oh well, hopefully CT will crush him down another 50 units so he is almost down 78. He doesn't stand a chance and he KNOWS it.

I for one have busted his balls a little in a couple of threads, that being said i respect the kid for admitting he needs a break. he says he will be playing the nba and i think we should give him the benefit of the doubt, baseball is a grind and he's got till october to make his plays. win or lose i would wager he will gain more than 500.00 worth of experience by doing this contest. just my .02

My immediate plans are to finish up my Sophomore year at the U, test out my new system, relax, watch sports, play some hoops, and oh yea, relax. This is the perfect way for me to break my losing streak I've been on and to get away from all that goes on during the contest. Anways, good luck to everyone and I wish you continued success in your current endeavors.

dr03 -- by the way, a little piece of advice: if you want to get rid of your losing ways, stay far, far away from Glen Mason. The guy couldn't coach himself out of a wet paper bag.

From a Gopher's perspective, what does that administration see in this guy?

He doesn't know how to gameplan worth a shit, & he needs to get rid of that sorry-ass D-coordinator (or maybe he did in the offseason?).

Glenn Mason is the only guy I know that runs the ball 95% of the time on 3rd & long. And have you seen a more clueless guy on the sideline than Mason?

he'll come back as soon as ChopTalk goes on a tailspin...just like he did to start this whole thing...

you should put a stop to Chop's picks......if he has a losing day or two.....take his plays the rest of the week....only seems fair to me

The problem is with the program's mindset. The program is alright going 7-4, 8-3, the expecation level isn't set high like it should be. The main reason why he ran all the time was because he had two stud tailbacks(Maroney, Barber on the Cowboys) and an inept QB. I agree though Mason has no idea what he's doing out here. This year will suck to with no Maroney and Russell at the local JUCO.

he has to play everything that chop plays.

if you don't...you'll be done before the allstar break (probably before that) and what he has to beat will be all laid out.....kind of takes the spirit of the contest out of it....

well i guess gambling etiquette is for some people and not for others.....

in the event you are done with the 150 picks in june....as long as chop is up...you will be safe......as we all know....july can be tricky....but the dog days of august???????? can't win now....you'll never win then......

I don't think I'll finish in June. My new system will only play 1-2 games a day max. Probably switching to strictly totals like with NBA.
