Furcal was so far inside the line that he was running on the INFIELD grass...what a complete joke...

He may as well have touched the mound and then tackled Lee.

May have broken his wrist...

Publics...

Glad you saw that play...

I am telling you now...Guccione is a prick...he squeezed Marshall all night long and then Eyre...and on that play he does nada instead of calling Furcal out...

Amazing.

At least justice is served and Furcal was stranded at 3rd.

Should have been called out.

Come on Cubbies....hold on. With Baez closing games for the Dodgers this year every game they have a 1-2 run lead late is going to be an adventure for them......note to self. Come on Cubbie relievers.

Would like to see the Cubs get Pierre in here. Either way Dempster will continue that scoreless inning streak and close the door.

Come on. Furcal did nothing wrong on that play. Lee was jumping in the air when Furcal was in full stride. Eyre should have held the ball.

What were you looking at?

Furcal was WAY INSIDE the baseline...so far inside that...

He was running on the infield grass! Should have been called out. He was NOT even close to the baseline.

Furcal should have ran in the F'ng baseline...

Eyre is day-to-day with a knee contusion...

Xrays on DLEE's wrist were inconclusive...he will be flown back to Chicago for an MRI...team goes to StLouis...

He ran into him ON first base. If Eyre's throw would have hit Furcal instead of the railing, there might have been a call. You make it sound like Furcal ran down the line on the grass to go tackle Lee. Furcal did nothing wrong. It was a fluke play.

Watch the replay...

He ran on the infield grass the entire way, right out of the box...which means he is out when there is a play on him at 1st...

BOTH of his feet were ALWAYS on the grass...

Secondly he had to veer to the right to get to the bag...Furcal ran INSIDE the baseline which is wrong and he should have been called out...

Baserunners cannot run to 1st base on the infield grass...

I am just glad that Baez blew the save and the Cubs won...hopefully Lee is okay.
