Swept the card yesterday! My greatest day ever as a capper. Definitely have swept cards before, but not with 9 plays. I barely ever have any days where I play that many plays to begin with! Finally out of that nasty funk to start the season, three straight winning days, and Willie Mcgee has never looked more attractive. Law of averages says I should be careful today, but my aggressive nature and past experiences tell me to strike while the iron is hot. Fade or follow at your own risk. Looked over the card, trying to stay even keel. Let's make it 4 straight winning days. May Willie be with you...

2* San Diego Padres (-134)(POD)
1* San Diego Padres -1.5 (+172)
2* Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 (+135)
2* Milwaukee Brewers -1 (+109)
1* Reds/Brewers over 9 (-102)
1* Detroit Tigers (+115)
1* Tigers/A's under 8.5 (-112)

Good Luck...

Maxxx - thank you very much. You're one of the threads I always look at. Lovin those Pads too. Mets arent swinging it well, fly cross country, and get off a plane to face Peavy. Pads play well at that park. It's an under park, so the better pitcher wins the duel. Peavy over Trachsel obviously. I'll take my chances!

JL - Best of luck. Love those Cincy overs. They can't pitch, and they swing it well. What a combo for an over. Adam Dunn has had a great career vs. Ohko. Cincys pitcher is not very good. Both teams swinging it right now. The pitching doesnt get any tougher for them in this game.

Something I don't understand is if you have the Padres as the POD for 2 units, why do you have the Brewers (also at 2 units) at -1 and the Phillies (also at 2 units) at -1.5? Shouldn't SD be at least -1 as well since they are the POD?

Congrats on your sweep yesterday.

Can't wait for college playoffs to start up. You were the tits with those bets last year.

GL today. Do you know anything about the guy pitching for the Nats today?

Randolph,

It just has to do with the value of the line and how I think the games will play out. Just because I lay runs, doesnt mean I think the play is stronger, it can almost mean I think it is WEAKER and I am less confident laying the juice...it just means two things:

1) That I am trying to set myself up to win if I split. If you have two underdogs at '+' money, and I go (1-1), I win.
2) It means that if that team wins, Phillies for example, (which I think every bet will win or I wouldnt make the bet)....If the Phillies win, I think they will win by quite a few runs and the runs shouldnt matter.

In the Phillies scenario, for example, I am not comfortable laying -154 on this team, especially with Madson on the mound. If the Phillies win, I think it will be the result of a poorly pitched game from Traber, who was called up for a spot start from Triple A for this game.

The units all being 2 is just the way I laid it out. I picked up 17 units yesterday, and I liked a few games today again, so I wanted to keep my units down. If I had to pick a game to label my strongest, I'd pick the Padres with Peavy on the mound and a cross country flught for the Mets (as well as other reasons)
Hope that explains the method to the madness.

Roach,

Don't have much on the guy. Scouting reports I read on him say he is A BIG crafty lefthander that gets shelled by right handed hitters. 6'5". Says he tops out at 90-91, so he wont be overpowering anybody. He had a nice little spring, but the rotation was already set, so they assigned him to Triple A. His last start didnt go so well for him, and he may have some confidence issues coming into this game. The fact of the matter, is it's a guy called up to spot start in this situation, he hasnt been with the club, he's pitching on the road in the bigs after a less than stellar outing in Triple A, and hes a Triple A pitcher to begin with. That's all I got.

Waiting for college bases, too. Love those retard lines they set up.

Good Luck today...
