Cubs offer fans pieces of Wrigley
04/20/2006 9:53 AM ET By Carrie Muskat / MLB.com

CHICAGO -- You've sat in the bleachers for Cubs games at Wrigley Field for years. Now you can take a small piece of the ballpark home.
The Cubs will hold a garage sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT at Wrigley Field.
Among the items for sale are stadium memorabilia, including authentic Wrigley Field bricks, bleacher benches and flags flown from the roof, scoreboard and foul poles. In addition, discounted Cubs merchandise, game-used equipment and autographed memorabilia will be available for purchase.
The sale was prompted, in part, by the bleacher renovation project. The team added 1,800 seats to the bleachers this year, and tried to re-use as many of the bricks from the exterior wall as possible.
On Saturday, customers can enter the ballpark at Gate D, located at the corner of Sheffield and Addison streets, and also Gate K, located on Waveland Avenue. Parking will be available in the Green Lot, located at 1126 W. Grace, north of Wrigley Field.
Payment forms accepted are cash and all major credit cards. Items cannot be shipped, so all purchases must be made in person.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Chicago Cubs Charities. This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.
