Taking the weekend off for some R&R so I will take on a 3 pack tonight with this lovely card we have. Good home dog night tonight IMO.

TORONTO +120
Pitching Option: Listed
BOSTON (J BECKETT) vs TORONTO (A BURNETT)

Toronto is one of those teams that should be played consistently as a home dog because for one they usually only get favored only when Halladay is pitching and for two, they have some of the best clutch bats in the AL this year. This game should really be a pick 'em with Burnett pitching.

SAN DIEGO +110
Pitching Option: Listed
NY METS (B BANNISTER) vs SAN DIEGO (W WILLIAMS)

I see the public is already loading up on the Mets today after Peavy's loss but are they taking into account that the Fathers are at home and they are sporting a decent pitcher (so far) to oppose them with today?

Williams had lively stuff in his most recent start at Atlanta, striking out nine in six innings while giving up three earned runs on six hits. That was three shy of his career high in K's, set in 1999. The veteran right-hander is throwing a handful of knuckle balls a game, giving hitters something else to think about along with his big-breaking curve and a fastball he spots nicely. He's 5-2 with a 5.02 ERA in 12 career outings against the Mets, and was 1-1 against New York last year with a 5.54 ERA.

COLORADO +100
Pitching Option: Listed
SAN FRANCISCO (J SCHMIDT) vs COLORADO (J JENNINGS)

I will only play these guys at home when their pitcher is not getting enough respect. They are playing a mediocre team and are putting up a better pitcher, at home, and they still aren't getting favoured by a dime? C'mon Vegas .. Barry Bonds doesn't scare me.

Colorado Rockies
Jason Jennings, RHP (1-0, 3.79)

Jennings pitched a "Coors quality" start Saturday, keeping the Rockies in the game for six innings of four-run ball. He got his groundball-flyball ratio back on track, going 9-4 in the game after starting the season 15-15. Jennings struck out five while walking three, notching his third consecutive start with at least six innings and pitch counts in the 90s.

San Francisco Giants
Jason Schmidt, RHP (0-2, 4.95)

Schmidt deserved a better fate in his last outing, when he gave up only two runs and three hits over eight innings against the Dodgers in a 3-1 defeat. To his detriment, Schmidt did walk seven batters, which contributed to his downfall.
