creeg is having some car trouble. he is driving a 1999 acura with 160,000 miles on it
Maybe someone will freak me out with an insane # of miles.

I have a '97 Regal GS with 157 K on it. My 2nd car, the wife is begging me of get rid of it. It's 100% free, she wants a convertible (we also have a Mercedes SUV).

The car is still the fastest car on the road and runs fine, she would differ. I bought the car on ebay 3 years ago, money well spent.

my buddy has a 2000 mercedes e320 with 190,000 miles on it. he has no intention of getting rid of it as every day he gets out of it is "free" in his mind since the car is paid off.

I have a 97 Ford Taurus wagon with about 230,000. We have Ford Ranger trucks that have had over 300,000+ on them and could have actually been repaired and kept going if the boss wanted to. I drive 200-300 miles a day, so I guess you could call me a professional driver. I'm with an attorney service.

Just as an aside, I just put on Bridgestone Tauranza tires all around, and I can say that I've never experienced a more comfortable riding tire in my life. They ran about $70 a tire, but I hear that Bridgestone is giving a $100 rebate for 4 tires until the end of the month or so.

Until a year ago had a 87 Toyota PU that lasted until almost 320,000 miles. Probably could have spent several thousand along with a new engine and just kept it but got a 2003 Tundra V6 instead. Like the Tundra alot but if I didn't have to drive 25 miles each way and got a transfer to where I live I would have stayed with the ol' sucker. Oh well....

I have a 1978 Benz 240D with 400K and it still looks like a charm and runs like a charm. Imported directly from Germany with a stick shift. One of only a few hundred thousand 240Ds with a stick. Its not my primary vehicle but I do like to drive it on weekends. I even like it more than my 2005 Dodge Ram.

My Del Sol broke down a few years back and I didn't want to buy another car right away so I bought my bosses old 89 Sentra. I think it had about 260K on it if I remember correctly.

My 1990 Yugo gvx has 103,000 miles.

I thank God everyday that it doesn't break down.

6 times in 3 years isn't so bad.

I did alot of research on tires and the Bridgestone Turanza tires are among the best in overall performance and ride.:103631605

My 94 Toyota pickup is just past break-in with 110,000 miles.
I must say I am impressed hearing about these American cars holding up for so long.
