Gilbert Arenas is a goofball...no doubt about that. Pretty cool to take the kid under his wing.

But that story was very touching and had me choked up when they told the story of the kids mother making it out alive and then going back into the fire to save his sister. That was pretty brutal to listen to the kid tell the story. I still have a lump in my throat.

The only thing that bugs me is that music they play. It is a tear jerker as it is they really try to get you to ball yer eyez out.

Exactly...that was beyond fucked up. I think that is what kept me from tears. I got angry for a second when that idiot said that. It broke the sadness for me for a second.

Yea...it is amazing what a huge role the backround music plays in how you feel about situations.

This story has been told in the DC area before...during the Playoffs you always see the networks pick up stuff like this that isn't really "new." But regardless, it's a great story.

Also like the fact that he beats the kid's ass on XBox. Goddamned right. People forget how young Arenas is...got drafted the same year we took KWAME BROWN. Unreal. What a talent...but he still has a lot of growing up to do.

Earlier today.. I was thinking how logical (for each) 76ers may be thinking about an Iverson for Arenas deal.....

Wiz would be dumb to do that...Arenas is younger , not to mention he has at least got his squad to playoffs.

No chance the Wizards make that trade.

Agree 110%. Iverson's value is nearly gone...Arenas is not even in his prime yet.
