WOW

Washington State is one of the most socially liberal states in the nation (or at least King County is, which is the population center). The epitome of a "blue state." Democrats usually control the legislature, judiciary, and the executive branch.

If such a law could pass there, it could pass anywhere.

Those "spiritual" indian casino chiefs probably donated millions to the politicians to make it illegal. How come those fuckers get casinos but no one else?

Was Washington State one that did not allow online horse wagering?

Being the home of Gates and Microsoft...even more surprising .

Good point Levi. Washington State probably has the most Indian Casinos per capita than anywhere else.

I would have a hard time believing that a Jury of your peers would convict you of this. People would throw their arms up and say who is prosecuting this nonsense. Isn't there more worthy crimes to go after then someone gambling ? Not only that where in the hell would they get enough jurors in the pool that haven't gambled. I suppose the crooks in this country would raid a GA meeting and get them to be on a jury. I say F**k you and go ahead and prosecute me then

You hit on one my pet peeves! These tribes w/their "Soverign Nation" BS and total control of gaming in my state (Mn) are all hypocrites. With much help from paid off pols. Their books are sealed and they pay no taxes on the GP. If you happened to be hurt on one of their properties and it`s their fault you`re fu*ked. They`re immune to lawsuits. We have soo many public service needs that could be solved by opening a State run casino in Mpls/St Paul, but the indian lobbies block this @ every turn. Stadiums for the Vikes & Twins would be no problem. The rich tribes in the state won`t even help their own. If this is racist FINE let it be so!!!!

You had no idea about this law and live in the state of Washington? They must be ashamed about passing it. The sad part is that other states will probably do the same thing . Damm Scary.

Except for states which have on-line horse wagering. Oregon and Washington must not be the best of friends.

No doubt that the Indians OWN this state and the politicians are beholden to the Indian's intrests.

The state passed a smoking ban in any public building. This has killed the heavily taxed local card casinos and enriched the MANY Indian casinos in this state as the Indian casions are exempt to the smoking ban because of their soverign status.

There are two Indian casinos local to me, 20 minutes in either direction and they are packed 24/7.
