Sunday, April 23 - Baseball

Big card today, this is the most value I've seen in a couple weeks.

Orioles(+220) @ Yankees

Orioles @ Yankees OVER 10 (-105)

If you're going to play one of those, play both of them. The over will probably hit for sure (Chen, with an ERA of 8, hasn't returned to his promising form of the past couple years and Randy Johnson's ERA has been hovering around 5.00 so far, combine that with two run-producing lineups and I like my chances), so it's a good insurance policy for a huge moneyline (+220). It seems like you can always get good value out of the Yankees, their lines are always inflated.

Diamondbacks (+125) @ Dodgers

Diamondbacks @ Dodgers UNDER 9 (-110)

Same thing with these two. The Dodgers have scored 17 runs in their last seven games and have been an easy fade lately. The Diamondbacks are 9-3 in their last twelve games as an underdog and the under is 10-4 in their last fourteen road games. The Dodgers are 1-7 in their last eight games as a home favorite and 2-9 in their last eleven as a favorite overall. The Diamondbacks have also won 8 of their last 9 games against the Dodgers. I think the score will be Diamondbacks 4 Dodgers 2.

Braves -1.5 (+135) @ Nats

John Thompson is about as consistent as they come and Bobby Cox won't yank him after six innings like he did in the last start in which he scattered a couple hits and gave up zero runs but still got a no-decision when the Braves blew the lead. The Nats can't score runs unless Soriano gets really hot with runners on base. I really liked this game yesterday, but it got postponed due to rain.

Giants @ Rockies UNDER 11.5 (-110)

Coors field isn't the launching pad it used to be with the underrated pitching staff of the Rockies. That being said, we have the possibility of a relative pitchers' duel with a usually solid Matt Morris going up against the young gun Jeff Francis. Neither team has an explosive offense, though the young talent of the Rockies are capable of producing runs at times.

Angels (-110) @ Athletics

Kelvim Escobar is one of my favorite fantasy pitchers and he is going up against Esteban Loaiza who is absolutely getting rocked with an ERA of 8.59. The Angels are 7-3 in Escobar's last ten road starts and are 6-2 in their last eight games against the Athletics.

White Sox -1.5 (-102) @ Twins

The White Sox are 16-5 in their last 21 home games and the Twins are 5-17 in their last 22 road games. Contreras hasn't let up from last year with an ERA of 1.29 compared to the snowman that Silva is currently sporting.

I might add some more tomorrow.
