SI had article about how Cecil blew a lot of his money gambling. I think on cruise boats in FL. Lost everything and his son doesnt even speak to him.

Firstly, I appreciate your posting!

As kyhawk said that Sports Illustrated had an article on the Fielders regarding dad's gambling and Prince not speaking to his dad, I, too, heard of that when I was watching the Brewers on ESPN last summer, where it was mentioned.

The announcers didn't go too much into it other than saying that Cecil gambled, and Prince isn't speaking to his dad. That made me curious, cuz I've always admired Cecil.

Anyway, what was it like meeting Cecil and Prince?

I WANTED CECIL TO HIT 70 HOME RUNS....HIS CARDS AND THE WHOLE SET WOULD OF DOUBLE IN PRICE.....O-WELL I WILL SELL THEM NOW FOR 30 CENTS ON THE DOLLAR:Sad Face: ....I HOPE THAT SOME DAY HE WILL PLAY FOR THE TIGERS....

As a Milwaukee native, I do hope that Prince stays with the Crew for a long time, while acquiring some World Series rings during that time, too.
