We may be looking at the #1 pitcher in our lifetime.........thats why.

Many do not recognize him as that.........and he may not be

However, one can make a case for him being the best pitcher in the post 1960 era.

Every player in the bigs is either under or overrated.

Greg is UNDERrated in the grand scheme of it all, no question about it. Partly because he not a hard thrower.

In all fairness to Maddox, Roger Clemens is better than Maddux.

Maddux goes about his business in a quiet manner. Players like Clemons do not. Clemons is a power pitcher and very outspoken, while Maddux is a finesse pitcher and is mild mannered. Both great pitchers, but certainly different personalities and pitching styles.

Players like Maddux, Carpenter, and Halladay tend to be underrated becasue they never suited up for NYY, Bos, or NYM and don't get the "ESPN TV" love.

Damn network would rather show TB/Bos 13 times a year than one of the 12 better matchups on a paticular day

glavine much more underrated than maddux...i'm just trying to figure out why fish said this but I think he's been drinking all day. I grew up watching maddux and would consider him the best of my childhood up to now right up there with clemens and both get respect they deserve. Glavine...vastly underrated for his career...should be sure fire HOFer but people talk about him being border line.
