John Patterson was scheduled to start against the Reds, but he was pushed back to Thursday against the Cardinals because of a forearm injury. Now, Ortiz will get the start. Ortiz was recently skipped because this past weekend because of a rainout on Saturday. Manager Frank Robinson told Ortiz of his decision, and the righty did not agree with it. Ortiz wanted to be pushed back one day and face the Braves on Sunday.

seems too obvious to me...Reds always come out of the gates strong, it will be time to start fading them soon. Not sure if this is the game to start fading, but Arroyo has to come back to earth soon. Plus Ortiz was pissed after being skipped, and he will want to make a case for himself in this game. Also, having David Weathers as a closer is bound to catch up with the Reds at some point.

Just playing devil's advocate here, I don't think either side in this game has enough value to play on. +119 isn't enough to play the Nats, if anything I would take WASH -1.5 +227 on the Alt runline. Good luck to you if you play this one.
