I looked through the first couple pages of the threads and couldnt find a topic on this, so if I am repeating something I apologize, but I liked Keith Jackson as a TV man. I always liked him doing college football games. Will miss him this fall..........:howdy:

He was good about 10 years ago...

Now, the guy doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. Personally, I think it's about time he retired (for the umpteenth time).

It was obvious these past few years he shouldn't have been in the booth. He made way too many mistakes, and it didn't appear he even knew what was going on out there.

Easily one of the best ever...it's sad to see these institutions get too old to call a game but it does happen...thanks for the memories Keith Jackson.

Best ever. The Nebraska-0klahoma game will never be the same without him at the mic.

Could have sworn the guy "retired" years ago!:icon_conf

He retired as the #1 guy for ABC a while ago...he was doing west coast games the past few years.

I think he was great. Hard to find anything to say bad about him IMO. Live a long and fulfilling life Mr. Jackson.

It all very strange to me today. I turn on the Evening News and There is a Woman anchor at ABC and soon to be one at CBS. I listen the other night to a Yankee game on the radio and some woman was calling the plays or doing commentary. Couple of days ago Keith Hernandez is raked over the coals on ESPN radio for saying The San Diego Padres have no business having a woman trainer in the baseball dougout.
The world is a changing for this old timer and I'll say one last Hurrah or would that be "WHOA NELLIE" to Keith Jackson. Thanks for your calls!
I just personally hope we don't get a female broadcaster to take his place.

He was lost in the Rose Bowl this year.

Keith is probably the one guy that I will give a free pass for being lost. That voice is stil, and will always be an absolute classic.

It was tough for Dan Fouts. He had to endure listening to Keith embarrass himself the last few years as his analyst.

Glad to see Keith come to his senses, hope he stays retired this time. He was way past his prime but like many great athletes was unwilling to let it go.
