D-Rays? Sorry Tampa fans but this is one of, if not the worst name in all of sports.

Tampa Bay management is considering changing, its uniform, the color scheme/design, and the team name, has that ever happened, change your nickname?

They should though...while they're at it, could they build a real ballpark?

The colors are fine in my estimation.

But a new name, stadium, and player would be a welcome addition.

Its a shame the PIRATES name was allready taken by a team on the river, as that would have fit them perfectly.......as well as the Black and Gold.

NJ Devils won the Cup one year.

ASU Sun Devils won the College World Series a couple years.

I say keep the name and wait it out.

All apologies Fish but...

Tampa Bay and all the other franchises established since 1977 would be great candidates for contraction. The current MLB product is the result of over expansion and the diluted talent pool playing at the big league level.

I didn't think the reason was the word Devils...I thought they were just looking for a new start, the do seem to be cursed though. :icon_conf

I could not agree with you more.

Personally, would like to go back to 1967 and how things were structured then.

What is somewhat amazing is, as bad as most of these expansion organizations have been overall, Florida (no fan support) Tampa (winless) Arizona (big money loser) Colorado (losing annually) (Montreal (had to finally move) Toronto (the only bright spot) Seattle (very few winning seasons)

There have been 5 WS Champions in this group ! Fla -2 Tor -2 Arizona 1

And to think MLB wanted to rid the league a few years back of the Twins, had the Twins not won those World Series they would have already been gone....Bud Selig wanted the Twins and Florida and Tampa gone, Arizona had to borrow money against the league...whatever happened with all that talk?

I would like to back to 1969, 4 divisions...they play 162 games that should decide who gets into the playoffs

Now that would be like a baseball fan's Christmas gift.

Every night we're all bitching about shoddy bullpens, .225 hitters that can't advance runners, hitters that can't sacrafice, poor fielding, fragile starters, etc...

This is what we get when we have AA talent playing at the major league level.

Don't get me started...as a Giants fan, this guy is worse than if they would just bring in a position player to pitch.

can you imagine how much better the product would be if baseball went to 20 to 24 teams..

spread the tv money around to less teams so they all have a better chance to land top players.

would be great if every team had 4 to 8 all star quality players on it.

Cursed..Shmursed

You'd think the Cubbies and Red Sox would've been at the front of the line(changin' uniforms), if that were the case.

These teams just happen to suck..that's all.
