Interesting.....I've never heard of anyone having that much trouble with streaks.

Try straight water & just kind of softly buff it dry-that should prevent streaks.

Here's a nice list compiled from manufacturer's web sites. It's best to use a lint-free cloth.

Here's an excerpt from the page:
The following cleaners are acceptable: <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = U1 /><U1:p></U1:p>
  • <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l20 level1 lfo3; tab-stops: list .5in">Water <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p><U1:p></U1:p><LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l20 level1 lfo3; tab-stops: list .5in">IPA (Isoprophyl Alcohol) <o:p></o:p><U1:p></U1:p><LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l20 level1 lfo3; tab-stops: list .5in">Hexane <o:p></o:p><U1:p></U1:p>
  • Petroleum Benzine <o:p></o:p>

NOTICE:
These cleaners might cause permanent damage to the LCD due to a chemical reaction. Some commercial window cleaners contain ammonia and are generally unacceptable.

http://klearscreen.com/

i use this on my mac, works great.
the problem most people get with laptops is that the shit on their fingertips stays on the keyboard. so when you close the top, all that shit gets on the screen.

the klear screen stuff works really good.

trek - ya it's pretty common. Just clean off the screen and get a piece of thin cloth or something to cover the keyboard when you close it.
