Everybody who praised Leinart for wanting to enjoy another year of college can wipe the doo-doo off of their faces. He has effectively cost himself over $20 million. THe truth of the matter is that NFL GM's realize he doesn't care that much about football. He just wants to hang out and party. Not to mention he has puss for an arm, no mobility, is a china doll and played against minor league competition.

As a Charger fan PLEASE LET THE RAIDERS get Leinart!

But he has a great ability to read defenses, and that's what made Montana famous, not his powerful arm! Knowing what you're capable of an accomplishing it on the field is what makes great players.

Longterm endorsement mean more to the wallet than salary ! Just ask Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods ! It could be that this could be a great day for Leinhardt if it turns out He gets to play for a team with a better chance of winning in the future.

Granted, the Cards have great talent around them and play in a weak division. That doesn't change that he can't throw the deep ball nor can he avoid a rush. The next big game the Cards win will be the first. He'll have a good mentor in Warner

Kinda like Joe Montana I guess HUH ? I don't think Montana was known for his strong arm either but I think He made it work out OK ! Montana was no Vince Young as a runner either but I doubt Vince will turn out better than Montana. I believe the Titans are the ones that made a huge mistake. We shall see !

If you don't want to accept my opinion - Fine.
However, if you listen to people like Jaworski, Steve Young, Phil Simms, and Hoge who watch more tape than anyone and could care less about politics and hype, they all thought Cutler was the prize QB in this draft. Simms and Hoge both said they wouldn't even draft Leinart in Rd 1. I concur

I think your opinion is certainly just as good as mine. The key word however is opinion. It is well documented that grading QB coming out of college and translating that into Pro success is mostly a crap shoot ! Tom Brady and Johnny Unitas are classic examples of players nobody saw a thing in and History knows the rest of their stories. I think that some of the biggest busts however at QB were the ones that weren't all that bright. I also think Cutler is a great pick but nobody really knows for sure ? Time will tell..... Johnny U was a 9 th round pick and was cut as I recall by the Steelers.

This is unbelievable. Bush goes 2, Leinart drops to 10. Justice is still on the board somehow. It sounds like Bing might be on the board until Round 3 and it sounds like Byrd could be there until late in Round 2. Not a good draft day for the Trojans

Hmmmmm. Maybe whormoan isn't quite so crazy afterall. And donn't forget Lendale White who is dropping like a rock too. NFL GM's evaluate the competition too. Just go back and watch U of Arizona play USC and their Freshman DE get 3 sacks against Justice and it's quite evident why he has dropped. Plus, these guys all have character issues

Lendale White and Justice - what happened?

Overrated all season and the GM's figured it out on tape or thugs?
