Corals and Victor chandler were the only 2 betting firms betting on this and Victor Chandler were 1/8. I went round all of east london & Essex putting 50 pound bets at each and every shop till late in the day when they went 6/4 and i got another 500 on before they suspended the betting.
They were pretty red-faced when I went to collect my winnings and had a stack of betting slips and they had to call all the shops concerned to confirm the bets.

My first $1,000+ bet was an accident. Meant to put $150 on the Cubs, accidently made it $1,500. They lost in 12 innings to the Nationals. With two outs in the B9 Aramis hit a two run homer to tie it. . Some serious false hope.
