Love em or hate em, and I happen to hate em, they just won their 15th straight game!!! I think its safe to say they got hot at the right time, but 15 straight, thats rediculous!!

I know the Rangers were Jagr-less but they hit the post 10 times (unofficial) in this series, and Brodure just made save after save after save. Everything went right for the Devils in round 1, not taking anything away from their play, but the second round won't be as "easy"..can they continue to play this good the whole way? I think not, and expect them to make their exit next round..but for right now...15 STRAIGHT!!! JEEZZZZZZZZZ...

I Believe They Will Be Playing The Winner Of The Carolina-mon Series Right? In My Opinion They Could Easily Beat Either One Of Those Teams.

Another Thing About The Rangers Series, When The Rangers Went Up 1-0 Today, That Was The First And Only Lead Of The Whole Series! And I Think It Lasted About A Whole 5mins!

I don't know if I would be too happy about it as a Devils fan. These sorts of streaks can only last so long, they have a little regression to the mean and its adios playoffs. Key isn't really to win every game, just that you respond and get it done in big games.

They re-seed after this round

If Canes win - Devils play the Canes (and Canes WILL win)

If Habs win - Devils play winner of Buff/Philly

IF Philly - Devils will win - and also Davils will make EC Finals w/o ever taking a plane or driving more than 1-2 hours to a game - and that is HUGE - for they will be VERY well rested for the EC Finals

and SOME of us are VERY happy with the way things are going now with the Devils - for some of us made a play that looks to be a VERY nice number to have

It didn't hurt that the Rangers just lost their 9th straight going back to the regular season. quite the swing between division rivals..

You do have to wonder if this streak isn't ready for a little regression towards the mean, but damn this team looks good right now.

They'll probably be pretty chalky in the 2nd round-probably enough to keep me from getting too excited about them.

Who would you rather face - NJ or Ott? They both scare the crap out of me.

I hope that no matter what happens the Devil get eliminated SOON. Their boring trapping is TERRIBLE for the game.
