As the playoffs continue, I've come to the conclusion that even doing in-depth homework on these p.o.s games isn't good enough to be up in this league. In all honestly, except for scalpers and middlers, can anyone raise their hand and say, "My name is Sir Bets a lot, and I'm ahead in the NBA." I have serious doubts about ever being up on this league after losing quite a few franklins on that under in the Mem/Dallas game. You can cap a game to a tee and stuff like that is thrown in your face.

So it all comes down to this. If you're actually up, how do you do it with these over-paid players?

P.S. Does it bother you that you're losing hard-earned money on players that don't care or can't even speak english?

For playoffs, find games you like enough to bet, then here is the trick....fade yourself. You can find enough in regular season to make it worth looking at. Lots of frustrating losses in this league.

Hi, my name is Kenyon. I will be making 90 million dollars in the future. To really show off my gangsta ways, I'm going to dress up in a fur coat and a pimp cane whenever coach decides to bench me for a series.

Maybe part of the reason I gamble is because of the jealousy I have towards the amount they make, and the sarcasm comes from the effort I see from them on the court. :icon_conf

Yea, I faded myself once and lost. I had San Antonio -8.5 pinned down and then got scared because of late movement and played sac-town instead. Same situation last night with the nugs/clips but I thought the nugs would actually play better than that.

I think Miami, Phoenix, and Washington will cover today. Sniff, sniff 0-3?

Martin is showing what he's about..You like KMart the ex Bearcat?

You just don't do that BS ... what he did was way wrong.

He's a Rasheed Wallace wannabe.

Avoid it for long time now. As someone says, you only need to watch the last 5 mintues of Any NBA game. So the ole story goes, The NBA plays 3 for show, and 1 for the dough!

The NBA is like any other sport, there are indicators that are profitable. Detroit fades in the 2nd half when up big at home, Miami has a tendency to do better in the 2nd half when down at halftime, etc. Finding these indicators will help you win more money.

I would rather eat dog dung on Christmas Day than watch or gamble on the NBA! LT :finger:

I was going to bump this beautiful thread after the Laker game. I see that I'm not the only one fed up with this league that is too focused on the business side of it.

Hey Nuggets, you played great in front of the fans that will have to pay 25% more for tickets next season. I tip my hat off to you David Stern.

I only don't bet them at the Palms! But I'm 7-2-1 so far with the Kings still undecided.

you can obviously read through this. he lost big on one of the games today. the nba is the closest thing to a english speaking league outside of the nfl.and all leagues have overpaid players, aka a-rod at 250, mcnabb at 150, etc.

dr, thank you for mind-reading my thread since i already said that under yesterday hurt me. How's that baseball contest coming along? Did you get to pound your chest yet or make an escape plan so you won't pay the money?

Ace-Ace is great at every sport. But, I'm trying to learn the process for myself rather than leeching off an individual. Congrats to him though since he obviously knows what he's doing.
