...starting to remind me of the Celtics in late 80s. Still have a great leader, but really starting to look like its a last run for them. They still have enough to squeeze out some wins this year, but wow its a real struggle and their age looks like its a real issue. If they have a tough series here and then face the Mavs they won't have much left if they can get far.

Will they go out and sign some guy in his mid 30s next year again as a band aid in the offseason?

Bigger question: Will we ever see a 100% healthy Tim Duncan again? I'm starting to wonder. It's amazing what he can still do on a court despite him being obviously limited. One of the greatest of all-time.

could easily be down 3-1...this feels similar to the Detroit/ Laker series two years ago...I think ther Kings win this thing...matchups are not favorable for San Antonio.

Don't write this Spurs team off just because of a couple games. The Spurs beat this Kings team by 34 points in the 1st game of this series. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, they won 63 games during the regular season too.

I am not writing them off this year, I still think they will find a way to represent the West like that old Celtics team did one last time, when Bird made the big steal. They are crafty enough to find ways to win, but I could see next year being the start of a clear decline. My thoughts are this is the last time for awhile we will see the Spurs at the top of the league. I wouldn't be surprised to see Duncan call it quits after 2 more years, after his effectiveness starts to wane. Nothing wrong with leaving after 3 and maybe 4 rings.

Of course S.A. won 64 games...they really got a bad draw, getting a red hot team in Rd 1 ( this could be a conference final )

They gave one game away too, Artest gets suspended and they're still tied up...I think the Spurs lose in 6...even if they win this, S.A. is in trouble down the road, this series will bite them .

Have been saying for a while now that the Spurs are vulnerable this year. They are still a great team but without a 100% Tim Duncan they can be beaten. Even if they get past the Kings, I think the Mavs beat them in round 2. Have to admire the Spurs though. They wont go down without a fight.

Duncan looks like half the player he was in seasons past
