I'm sure he'll be booed because in general, the majority of sports fans are complete idiots. Yes, he left to go to Boston's biggest rival, but they were willing to pay him more than the Red Sox. Can't blame a guy for that, but of course, tomorrow they will.

They should hold Damon in the highest regard for eternity for the hand he had in helping that gay franchise win a World Series.

NO chance he gets cheered. instead, the uninformed Red Sox fans will boo a guy who played well for them and helped them win a world series.

They SHOULD yell at their management who let him go to the Yankees if they are going to boo anyone.

I dont even care that he is a yank anymore. I've seen it before with clemens and boggs so I get over it quickly now.

I dont think most of us could be upset with Damon like with Roger. Jhonny will always get praise for his Homeruns and his baserunning in the 2004 playoffs.

I didn't hear any cheers from any fans until Damon tipped his hat to them. Even then they didn't really cheer.

Damon is one of the classiest players in the MLB. Red Sox fans? Not classy. most are retarded and think they know baseball just cause they've seen a few season.
BC not saying you're one of these ppl but im sorry, watching a game a week or a month doesnt make u an expert, like many red sox "fans" think.
one of my best friends falls into this category, although he's picked up alot and is watching diligently. still doesnt make up compeltely for a lifetiem around the game...

He plays for the bad guys! I dont care about the money. I'm happy he helped us win a title but that was 2 seasons ago. He plays for the bad guys now!

Besides, if he gets booed and the so called 'greatest lead off hitter in baseball' goes 0-4 and it helps us win, I am all for it.

I'll be happy about Jhonny watching the 2004 DVD. Now is not the time.

The guy was a major reason why the Red Sox were able to end The Curse. That should give him a lifetime pass to do whatever the fuck he wants. Instead, one year later, Sox fans have already turned on him. 80+ years of suffering gone, but of course that doesn't matter anymore since he plays for the Yankees because Boston wouldn't shell out the bucks. 95% of sports fans make me sick.
