I have 1300 to use on Bonus Plays at one of my offshores. I just wanted some advice on how to use the money. I have read some writeups that players place say 100 2or3 team parlays and mix and match the teams. I am looking for advice on the best value. Back during the ncaa tourny I was able to hit a 2 teamer for about 3,000 using Bonus Play dollars. I would not mind doing this again :)
I was thinking of a 3 teamer
Piston's ML
Red Wings ML
Dodgers Ml
would pay almost 3-1
Thanks for your help in advance. I am willing to listen to all options

take the whole balance and bet on one team. Bet the other side of this game with another book. Lose at one and win at the other. You may get lucky and catch good lines and have a small middle and win one side and push the other or maybe even wiin both sides.

i learned a technique from another poster DougJ a few months back that I've been using for all my Bonus Plays...

divide your total freeplay money by 8. place 8 3-team parlays covering every possible way of 3 upcoming games. BUT be sure that each games ends with a 1/2 point line (to prevent a possible tie in any of the games).

using this technique you are sure to hit 1 of those parlays and get a 6-1 return, which equals a 75% CASH return, GUARANTEED.

for example: your $1300 in freeplays will get you 8 separate $162 3-team parlays. one will hit and your take-back will be $972 ($162 @ 6-1 odds) in cash. that's an easy way to guarantee a 75% cash return on your money. that's what i always do.

You are doing the right thing to play something that pays at least 3-1. If it's at CRIS you can turn it into a guaranteed $975 cash with parlays, splitting it into 100 plays should do about the same, but could vary quite a bit.

What is your goal ? Are you willing to risk it all, or do you want to guarantee some cash ?

Thanks for the replies all.

I would not mind risking it all. I look at as free money I do not have. But who would not want some guaranteed cash?

Christian: Here's a thought since it's baseball season. If the book had a dimeline you could play games that are -105/ -105, -110/ +100 sort of lines and improve the pay-out a little. The risk would be rain outs and pitching changes.

thanks for the advice all. I think I may go with the 3 teamer and hit it all ways. I would not mind almost a free dime.

Some books may not be too pleased with that choice, it's OK at CRIS. You might want to check first if it's not at CRIS.

Doug,
Mine is at DSI. So I would guess it is just like Cris. Just so I dont screw this up I was going to use all 3 NBA sides for tonight...Right now they all at half points. I tried to figure this out but i come up with more than 8 parlays to intermingle all the teams

There are only 8 combinations of 3 teams, DSI should be fine.

while 75% guaranteed is nice. 95% is better. To each his own. Nice to have free money anyway

how do you get 95% without having nearly a 50% chance of getting nothing ?

oh by the way there are many other advantages to playing out bonus money between 2 different books taking both sides. The book that you lose at will often give you a re-up bonus as an incentive to redeposit and you can play that out the same way. Books like losers so if you use my method 1/2 of your books will love you.

nothing wrong with doing that, but 95% seems way high on the return, what lines give you that ?

How about an example of lines, I think it comes out in the 70-75% range, maybe 80% tops.
