BAD Fixed Race @ Windsor Raceway last nite...

There were 7 horses in the race ...an even money shot and an 8/5 shot...were the figure horses....One outright stiffed blatantly and the other driver just took the lead and pulled the horse in the backstretch...The winner paid 16.50....the rank outsider ..a 30-1 shot ran second and a 13-1 shot 3rd..Top 3 favs out...Exacta paid $116.....Tri 648...Exacta should have paid 220-280....Tri 1200-2000 range.....A real slap in the face for harness bettors..I am calling Canadian Trotting Association just to see what they say......I suppose they dont even care anymore.....It seems anything goes these days..the drivers can do literally ANYTHING..and no one says a F...thing.....

I think the worst beat I've ever seen live at harness races was a three horse entry at the Meadowlands trained by Brett Pelling a few years ago. With a three horse entry, it left only 7 other horses. The entry went off at 1:9 and the race did have show wagering so lots of money across the toteboard on them. All three horses in the entry finished out of the money with two of them breaking stride. Big time prices on everything.

I would think an 8-1, 30-1, and a 13-1 trifecta would pay out much more than 1200-2000. I would guess in most circumstances that would be a nice 3k trifecta. I guess it all depends

don't forget this was inly a 7 horse field. Still seems a little low but their is a HUGE difference with an 8 horse field

wheres the windsor raceway in relatoin to the casino?
never even knew there was a raceway in windsor
