WIN A SHOT AT UP TO $37,500 at The Rx. Annual Bash in Las Vegas This Summer.

The Rx. will be having it's annual Bash at The Imperial Palace in Las Vegas
on the weekend of August 18th. and will be sponsering three lucky Rxers
to monster blackjack hands to be played in the Imperial Palace Casino on the afternoon of August 19th.

I will be posting a thread everyday (schedule of games permitting) with a 12 team parlay.

All Rxers with at least 100 posts are welcome to play and win. You must select one play in all twelve games posted whether they are sides or totals. Multiple entires from from the same IP will be considered
void unless cleared with me beforehand (in case of Rxers living in same household). No editing allowed.

This contest is not open to any Rx. employees (including moderators).
The hands up for grabs are:

First place: $25,000
Second Place $10,000
Third Place $5,000

Winners will have the stake put up by The Rx. and will be allowed to keep any winnings.

In the event of a loss the player is not out any money for the hand.
In the event of a win the player keeps the winnings and the Rx. retains the original stake money.

The hands will be dealt by Imperial Palace Dealertainer "ELVIS" in the high roller pit of The Imperial Palace Casino.

Blackjack pays 3 to 2.
Double down on any two cards.
You can only split once.
No splitting aces.
No Surrender.

Question: Is it OK to just put the number of your pick in, instead of typing the whole line ?

Example:

2.4,6,8,10,etc.

Please use the team and line (for now). I know it is extra work but it will save errors that could solve problems later. Maybe I can refine the parlay thread some to make it easier.

It's not bad, you can quote the post, and delete the part you don't want.

With TB if game landed on 200, and one person picked 199, and another 201, is it still a tie, or is it closest without going over ?

Good question - I am not doing any closest without going over anymore. While that makes it easier to grade it is not really fair. With your example both players would tie and we will have to either spilt the hand or make them partners for the single hand. Maybe I can refine the tiebreaker for the next thread to make it harder to tie the tiebreaker.

Please Remember

I know hitting a 12 teamer is not easy but we will definitely get 3 winners before the contest is over. I will reduce the number of teams if no one wins until we get all three lucky Rxers lined up to play the hands.

This should be a pretty exciting event and really rock the IP casino when the hands are dealt..

It seems a decent possibility exists of a rain-out on any day, or a game that doesn't go full length. So if one of the 12 props gets eliminated is the whole day no action for everybody ? A baseball side should count if it goes 5 innings, but a total would be void, right ? Maybe we should only do sides ?

Perhaps award the 3rd prize to a winner of a short card ? Maybe stay away from baseball, and stick to stuff that won't get rained out like NHL, NBA, WNBA coming soon. Maybe limit baseball to games played indoors ?

It's going to be hard to pick 12-teamers ( about 4,000:1 against) losing days won't make it any easier. It might take 2 months before anybody nails this even once.

Actually I want to make it easier. Rainouts count as wins for both sides and rain shortened but official games will be graded by whatever the official score is regardless of innings played. I will try to use as many non baseball games as possible. Good idea about WNBA - I handn't thought of that. Everyday's play will count regardless of rain outs.
