Does anyone know why we there is an NBA game on @ 5pm CST??

Why in the world would they have a game that early?

I can tell you why. Many times in life I do not have an answer, but this time....I do.

The Mil/Det game will suck for ratings. Detroit will kick their ass and be done. This allows the 2nd game to be aired 2.5 hours later during prime viewership times....7:30 eastern.

My guess, anyway. tulsa

I like this for a change of pace. Some of us work and can't stay up till after midnite to watch some of these games.

I will still be at work when they tip-off...I hope Mil/Det turns out to be a great game to piss off the TNT executives...JMO

Both teams considered East coast. So to have a game start after 10pm in Detroit or Cleveland.

But the truth would be the NBA is thinking of its TV audience being able to stay up and watch within their markets
