Got damn it! Had a lengthy write up typed up and lost it so I'll just give a summary: "Shark Attack" is used to fighting at light middleweight and this fight is at middleweight also he is taking on a "Contender" fighter in Mora and we remember what happen a few months ago in the Manfredo fight vs Pemberton on ESPN. If you do this would appear as a set up fight again with ESPN presiding over it. The +435 price looks real juicy but proceed with caution I may play the over/under but -460ish on Mora is too much even for a fight that looks like a set up. Oh by the way, Manfredo may be fighting Calzaghe sometime this year. I could only hope so (Please god!!!)

Mitchell is also fighting tonight against Jose Luis Cruz. Cruz has fought against good opposition and has pop. I got a feeling Mitchell is a rented mule now so Cruz would be a good value play at +155

Taylor would eat him for lunch! They are trying to max out his value I guess until they set him up against the best prize fight that's available for a possible ESPN PPV. You noticed their PPV plan didn't go as smooth as they wanted so why I guess this is their best approach. Put their fringe fighters against fighters who have actually done something in the ring, have those true "contenders" play the sacrificial lambs to build their fighters names up i.e. they are talking about Manfredo vs Calzaghe right now.

i have seen some articles making mora out to be some big star and i just don't get it. without the contender even hardcore fans don't know this guy.

What!?! Are you serious!?! Calzaghe is the best 168'er in the world...and they're going to put Manfredo in the ring with him!?! Just because he beat Pemberton? Calzaghe will kill that poor kid.

Agree, without the show we wouldn't even know who he is since he's nothing special. Just look at it as a future LOCK play! I'm also playing a little bit on the over in the Quinteros and Narh fight tonight on ESPN2. ESPN needs to get better fights on during the week.

Yeah I'm serious and I think ESPN and his handlers are being realistic that this maybe the best they'll get hence the cashout ESPN and his handlers are looking for. By the way, I agree. This would be a worse beating than Lacy got.

price too big on tonights over

Yeah I don't normally play that much juice on an over/under but can't see this ending anyway but going to the cards.

Oh well cancel the Quinteros wager only scheduled for 8 rounds which may be a good thing because Narh is going for the KO early and leaving that body wide open in the process.

I ready something about them putting Manfredo into the ring with Calzeghe - it would be about nothing but money. Manfredo would have ZERO chance at beating Joe unless it was rigged. I would be willing to lay over -1000 on that one.

Of course Mora will win tomorrow. Just like it was obvious that Manfredo would beat Pemberton. ESPN isn't gonna let their golden boys lose even though niether of them are anything close to special.

If you know alot about that guy Calzaghe I will agree with you then. I've seen all of Manfredo's fights, and he's slow and lacks knockout power. He has a tough chin, but anyone quicker and more powerfull would blast him.

I think Manfredo gave Pemberton the bout because they were hometown boys, and Pemberton was calling it quits. With Manfredo's exposure that fight was just the money Pemberton needed.

i've followed calzaghe for years, and i've seen a couple of calzaghe's fights in europe...he is the best super middleweight in the world. he completely dominated Jeff Lacy.

did anyone see when Nate Quarry (from the Ultimate Fighter show) got in the octagon with Rich Franklin? Franklin destroyed him...

it would be the same thing with Manfredo/Calzaghe. you can't put a guy who's been pampered (due to TV and financial interests) in the ring against a world-class fighter...or at least not this quickly. you can't become world-class in just a year or two. it doesn't happen that quickly.

but you guys sound right, sounds like ESPN just wants to cash in on Manfredo.
