No contest!

James is making NBA veteran players look like boys, his physical inside game , and his outside shooting skills , which are improving be leaps and bounds are unstoppable!

I'm not sure whether or not he will win 6 NBA titles, he may never have a player like Pippen beside, remember Pippen was like the 3rd or 4th best player in the league playing alongside MJ during the title run.

That would be like LeBron and Wade teaming up, if LeBron ever gets a player like Scottie Pippen lookout!

He will be very comparable with Michael Jordan as the games greatest player by the time he's done.

Lebron needs to get more serious about defense and keep working on his jump shot. Then he should be better.

But Scottie was never the 3rd or 4th best player. MJ always made him seem better than he was.

I agree 100%.

I also think having Pippen as your 2nd best player is A LOT better than having a player like Wade. I don't think there is a player in the league today that is the 2nd best on his team that is as good as Pippen was. He was the ideal "co-pilot".

Pippen was a 6'9" player that could play every position and always defended the opponents best player. He took Magic straight up in the Finals and caused him big trouble. He was one of the best defenders in the league.

Pippen was a matchup nightmare on offense as well. He could bring the ball up to take the pressure off Jordan...he could get to the basket at will...he could knock down open shots...he was tough.

It is still early in Lebron's career so he has a lot to do between now and when he retires to be in Jordan's class...but at this age and stage in his career he is ahead of where Jordan was at this point.

I remember the first time I saw him, I thought he was like 28....He might look like he's 28 for 10 years!

I really never thought anyone would be comparable to MJ, Lebron clearly has that potential.

I would love to see Cleveland get Kevin Garnett .

Those 2 would be one of the all time great inside / outside combos .

I knew someone would say it, and it's sort of easy to take shots at Pippen now, his career didn't end great, those years with Portland with that funny hair, and his attitude was like 'WTF I already have 6 rings'.

The year after Jordan retired , Pippen played great the first half, he was clearly the best player in the league tht year...

I believe Pippen was #2 in the league for about 3 years, no doubt about it.

That sums up Scottie , he could do it all, just like Michael!

LeBrons D is not as good as it could be, but I think he might be that he is not expending the energy so he is good to go on the offensive side. I'm not sure if that plays a part in it but it would make sense to me. But the guy that said his jump shot needs to get better never watches any Cavs games. I've watched all but maybe 10 games all year and he has a great jump shot. He shoots 3's, turn arounds, mid range and everything else you can think of. The only bad thing is that he has a tendency of fadeing away when he does not need to, he makes some shots tougher than they need to be.

garnett wud be good but as pointed out - a good scorer needs a defender to shut down the opponents best player

pippen / jordon were the perfect pair

size defence rebounding scoring and the star gazing factor

Not to nitpick but Lebron is only 21. He is probably the most physically gifted person ever to play. He looks like he should be 30 years old and sometimes plays that way. He is like a freight train when he drives to the basket. He can take all the hits and then just elevate over everyone and make it seem so simple. He needs to learn how to play with his back to the basket better. If he can get his fade-away or turn around jumper down, with his elevation he should be unstoppable.

With the right work ethic, he could become the best player ever. Jordan and Kobe aren't the most gifted athletically but their drive to become the greatest has put them where they are now. Put that drive into Lebron with his physical gifts and you have the perfect player, IMO.

Kind of like what the Wizards did last night. You know Lebron is going to get the ball, but how the hell did he get that wide open?!?

I think LeBron needs somebody like Ron Artest to act as his Pippen...granted Artest is a lot smaller but he could still play a 3 if not a 4 like Pippen could. But Artest can always guard the best scorer and has a great jumpshot to complement LeBron.

Lets wait until he plays a team with defense. IF the cavs can beat the wizards and lebron plays like he's playing now against Detroit, then that will be something.
