Most of you know that there are several professional handicappers (touts)
that post here in the Rx. sport forums. Until now we have allowed them to post if they did not use any
promotional material in their threads. After careful consideration and consultation The Rx. is going
dismiss any professional handicappers or touts from any of our sport Fourms.

Effective immediately all professional handicappers, by that I mean posters that charge for their picks
elsewhere will only be allowed to post plays or promotional materiel in the Site Promotions Forums.

Most notably included are Theerodfather and Kodiak7.

Please report any violations by either using the "contact us" icon.

You can also contact any Rx. moderator to report violations:

Does that include Prophetable Picks? I can't remember him ever advertising his service when he posts some of his college plays. Also will that apply to Smokey aka Chuck Luck? I would like the RX to consider grandfathering some long time cappers that have conducted themselves in a gentlemanly manner. LT

I know exactly what you are saying and have tried to allow some of the long time poster/touts to continue in this manner but have recieved a tremendous amount of negative feedback for doing this. I wish there was some middle ground but there seems to be no area other than Site Promotions that will suffice for touts at this time.

Thanks, wil..

It's not like he has to stop posting his picks, just go find them in the promotions area.

Thats why their jumping Ship, they might as well talk into an empty bucket down there. :missingte Throwing the Net around the Sports Forums will always catch a few unsuspecting minnows, so now they will waste their time better clogging up other forums with their crap. To be fair, there have been Touts who have obeyed all the rules on here, Chuck Franklin to name one comes to mind and for those its a bit harsh when you compare the endless garbage some dish out. Its now time for them to regroup and come up with the next trick to snag that most sought after species, The Mug Punter. :drink:

I understand that several services that have been posting plays in our sport forums did abide by the rules that were in place but I really don't think we can make exceptions based on that.

The most vocal complaints I have had since I took over this job last June have been about touts posting plays and trolling for customers.

Unfortunately this new policy effects all services that charge for plays. This decision was not made easily and I know some will not be happy with it. I wish there were another solution that would please everyone but as of now I have not been able to find one.

And people wonder why there is no private messaging feature at the RX. It would be a NIGHTMARE!!! (no pun intended)

I think the RX should charge a fee for people to post in site promos (advertsing fee) that would get rid of a lot of the problem. No reason a forum that gets this kind of traffic should allow ANYONE to advertise for free imo when you have sportsbooks ect.. paying good money to advertise

I know I post in site promos myself and it's great exposure for my lil' place but maybe it's time to do away with it totally

i agree with ego. id get rid of site promos altogether.theres too many times where even if you wanted to honestly pump up another smaller site theres hundreds of posts and threads with tout on tout violence and mayhem to wade thru.it makes the political forum look like a cardinals meeting at the vatican.:lolBIG:
