1-4 (-3.76 units) yesterday
50-57 (-16.28 units) overall

hit my lowest point of the year, down over sixteen units. starting to wonder about that losing streak break we all have to take now and then. here is what i am going to do, if i hit 25 units down, i am taking a week off. lets hope it does not get to that point. i can remember a few years ago when i made money every single baseball season. now i have sucked the past two. how did i go from being so smart to being so stupid?

washington -169 vs florida............screw the not betting heavy favs, at least for today. mets were my only winner out of 5 picks yesterday. with that being said watch it be a dog day. washington almost came back from being down last night. a couple of nights ago, i bet on good pitchers with bad starts knowing they were due for a good outing. lets try that again today with livan hernandez. i really like this one today.

atlanta +100 vs phillies...........playing the same team again from last night. lost with braves in a close one. still don't believe in the phils at home yet. my gut just tells me braves turn tonight. i think the teams in the nl east are going to beat up on each other this year. i think in the end it will be a three team race between mets, braves and phillies down to the final two weeks of the season.

ny mets -206 vs pittsburgh.........why not? laid 300 yesterday. had to sweat that one out. pirates only scored in the first and ninth innings last night and it took 12 innings for the mets to win. i keep waiting for the mets to hit a losing streak, but it won't happen against the pirates. i love seeing wagner blow saves since he left the my phillies. mets had a bunch of chances to blow game wide open yesterday, but could not. tonight they do. mets in a blowout.

white sox -162 vs seattle..............huge pitching advantage for the sox here.

SEA: Hernandez (1-3, 5.06)
CHW: Contreras (4-0, 1.45)

Here is more about the whitesox pitcher.......

Jose Contreras looks to record his 13th straight regular-season victory when he takes the mound for the Chicago White Sox on Thursday afternoon in the finale of a two-game series with the Seattle Mariners at U.S. Cellular Field.

Contreras (4-0, 1.45 ERA) allowed five hits and one run with one walk over 8 1-3 innings of a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday, his 12th victory in a row in the regular season since a 4-2 loss to Minnesota on Aug. 15.

The right-hander is 15-2 with a 2.58 ERA in 20 starts since last year's All-Star break and excelled in the postseason, going 3-1 with a 3.09 ERA to help Chicago win its first World Series in 88 years.

how can i pass this up? exactly!!

st louis -127 vs houston.........if the cards are struggling so badly, then why are they favs at houston with pettitte pitching? because they are going to win, thats why. got to take carpenter here to snap the cards losing steak. that is whay aces do. stros don't seem to hit the ball for pettitte so are this year and the chaces of doing it vs carpenter are not very good.

wow! five more games today. i get the feeling this is going to be a great day (5-0 or 4-1) or a sickening day (0-5 or 1-4)

good luck everybody!
