DIGITURF.......anybody play this simulated horse racing game?

Have not trained/owned and ran a horse at Digiturf for nearly 5 years now.

Only owned one horse ever whose name was KYHAWK. The horse had 2 wins in 11 starts and earned me $151.23

Just checked my stable at Digiturf and KYHAWK is now 17 years old. :shocked:

For those that play at Digiturf, has there been any improvements in the past 4-5 years?

Does it pay out cash or fantasy based?

Very fun game, but just as in the real world of horseracing, very hard to make a profit.

Made chump change 5 years ago fiddling with it and haven't been back.

Might as well just play the lottery. That's in essence what you're playing. Fish, if you owned only one horse that made that kind of money, you my friend are a VERY lucky man!

Yes, heard it is very hard to show a profit longterm at Digiturf.

To bad, very interesting and fun game.

If it's a computer generated race simulator where it uses skill points to determine results, then it's a bit like a boxing game (Cash version of EKO) I used to play ... if you can reverse engineer the results mechanism to isolate the "important stats" it's beatable..

But you're beating the people who play badly rather than the house.

Depends

You have to feed, train, and pay stable fees for your horse.

It takes a 3-6 days of training your horse before you enter your horse in a maiden race.

Its a tough racket........there is pari-mutual wagering on each and every digiturf race........so you can actually wager on or against your horse........and of course other races around the clock.

With the bonus, you should be able to eek out a profit in 2-3 weeks and maybe get lucky and win some feature races later down the road with your horse or horses.

This sounds pretty cool. Never heard of it. I am absolutely burnt out from fantasy sports, but this looks interesting.

No, 17 actually.

Everything at Digiturf goes 3x faster than in reality.

So if you give your horse 2 days rest, thats actually 6 days rest.

Hell ya bro....Placed them ponies w/ BookieBuster some years ago....Have been back here and there , but havent bought anything new in a while....
Bookie's Stable was loaded ..I mean loaded !!! and won a ton....Had some great horses there But only 2 i think won the Big Ones ( maybe 10K)....Gimme some sugar and Needthemoney were 2 of the big ones I remember. Nothing like buying a horse and then run a barrier and have him smoke him by 10 lengths off the bat. ........Looks as if they have made some good changes .
Was Fun for sure , but friends would look at my like I lost my mind when i told them i was racing VIRTUAL HORSES.....LOL

The best was watching your horse run a race.......I used to scream ,,, Show em your butt , Show em your butt.....Screaming at the screen...
