The Houston Astros expect Wandy Rodriguez to be well enough to start Saturday as the team continues its three-game series against the Colorado Rockies.
Houston's pitcher, however, is not so confident about the start after coming down with a virus this week, which weakened him and left a scab on his lip.
"It knocked him down a little bit and wore him down," manager Phil Garner said. "The doctor said the medication did a good enough job that he was able to make the trip and will make his start."
Rodriguez (4-0, 2.61 ERA) himself seemed less confident he could answer the call.
