Stock broker/financial advisor. If you work for a brokerage firm, you're basically a step above a car salesman. You're just selling yourself to potential clients...you pretty much don't pick any of the stocks or strategies, as the firms have an entire side dedicated to research and whatnot.

If you're a good people person, you can make it easy in the business.

Im sure he meant independent stock trader rather than working for some business.

Depends on your individual skills. I am a professional poker player and it's not easy. You have to have unbelievable patience and a level head. If you have any kind of a hot head or a tendency to take losses hard from hand to hand or day to day then find something else to do. Same goes with sports betting but it is easier to deal with sports betting losses imo. I think it would be easier to be a sports bettor but it takes a large bankroll which most don't have.

My guess is they are all pretty even except maybe the horse guy. Tough to be really effective facing that high vig and the increase in information/resources the internet has brought. Used to be a nice angle to get info no one would see, but now every race is easily available to see and every piece of data is sliced and diced. Racing is one sport where player emotions really aren't there to exploit. The other three are situations where you make most of your profit from opponents emotion and just plain stupidity.
