I will try to keep this as short as possible and post only the facts. Let this be a warning to anyone out there considering signing up with him.
In mid September I signed up for Rod's service. He seemed to have a decent reputation on this forum and he always responded quickly to my emails. He guaranteed me I would make over $10,000 betting his picks or he would give me a full refund. I took this with a grain of salt, but I am a disciplined bettor so I figured at worst I would break even.
Over the next 7 months his record was 630 and 592. This comes to a 51.6.% wining percentage and when applying his suggested units method of money management resulted in a loss of over $5,000. Or course, I did not use his method of money management, which was drastically different from what he originally told me. Also, for some reason I failed to receive his picks on what turned out to be one of his best days of college football. After that I had to frequently send him emails 30 minutes before the days (nights) games started asking what the plays were because I had yet to receive them.
Anyway, I figured after March Madness ended and I had not won my $10,000 I would at least get my money back. Rod stated many times in his emails that "I am a man of my word. There will be no problem getting your refund".
Since I paid Rod by paypal I figured that's how he would refund the money. After requesting the refund I waited and waited (2 weeks) and received no response from Rod that the money had been sent, let alone the actual money. I contacted one of the moderators of this site and other well known site that Rod frequents and told them about my situation. They contacted Rod on my behalf and I received an email from someone named Terri claiming to be the manager of Rod's operation. He said they no longer used paypal and listed other methods by which I could receive the money. I thought this sounded a little fishy and intially protested, but finally asked for a check to be sent. This all took place throughout April.
Of course, this check has never arrived and Rod stopped responding to my emails asking for a confirmation that the check had been sent weeks ago. Curiously, he continues to send me his NBA plays. Which I have not played or recorded but am fairly certain have lost money.
In conclusion, although Rod comes across as a nice guy on this forum in my experience with him he is not a man of his word or anything special when it comes to picking winners. I saved all emails from him to support my claims should anyone not beleive me, and if I can save one person from wasting their time and money by not signing up with him I will consider this email worthwhile. I still beleive that if you can find someone who can provide you with consistent winners, even at only a 53% rate, it is a financially sound decision to pay (within reason) for their picks. However, THEERODFATHER is not this person.
