I will try to keep this as short as possible and post only the facts. Let this be a warning to anyone out there considering signing up with him.
In mid September I signed up for Rod's service. He seemed to have a decent reputation on this forum and he always responded quickly to my emails. He guaranteed me I would make over $10,000 betting his picks or he would give me a full refund. I took this with a grain of salt, but I am a disciplined bettor so I figured at worst I would break even.
Over the next 7 months his record was 630 and 592. This comes to a 51.6.% wining percentage and when applying his suggested units method of money management resulted in a loss of over $5,000. Or course, I did not use his method of money management, which was drastically different from what he originally told me. Also, for some reason I failed to receive his picks on what turned out to be one of his best days of college football. After that I had to frequently send him emails 30 minutes before the days (nights) games started asking what the plays were because I had yet to receive them.
Anyway, I figured after March Madness ended and I had not won my $10,000 I would at least get my money back. Rod stated many times in his emails that "I am a man of my word. There will be no problem getting your refund".
Since I paid Rod by paypal I figured that's how he would refund the money. After requesting the refund I waited and waited (2 weeks) and received no response from Rod that the money had been sent, let alone the actual money. I contacted one of the moderators of this site and other well known site that Rod frequents and told them about my situation. They contacted Rod on my behalf and I received an email from someone named Terri claiming to be the manager of Rod's operation. He said they no longer used paypal and listed other methods by which I could receive the money. I thought this sounded a little fishy and intially protested, but finally asked for a check to be sent. This all took place throughout April.
Of course, this check has never arrived and Rod stopped responding to my emails asking for a confirmation that the check had been sent weeks ago. Curiously, he continues to send me his NBA plays. Which I have not played or recorded but am fairly certain have lost money.
In conclusion, although Rod comes across as a nice guy on this forum in my experience with him he is not a man of his word or anything special when it comes to picking winners. I saved all emails from him to support my claims should anyone not beleive me, and if I can save one person from wasting their time and money by not signing up with him I will consider this email worthwhile. I still beleive that if you can find someone who can provide you with consistent winners, even at only a 53% rate, it is a financially sound decision to pay (within reason) for their picks. However, THEERODFATHER is not this person.

Mods - If this belongs in a different section of the forum then please move it to the appropriate place.

He guaranteed you you would win $10,000? And you didnt stop considering sending him money then and there? Sorry, my sympathy well is dry. We are all responsible for our actions, if you sent this person money, you live with the results.

He intially said his picks were of 3, 7 and 15 units. One unit was $100. Knowing this $10,000 does not seem unreasonable. However, he quickly added 25 unit plays, and even 50 and 75 unit plays for the Superbowl. I'm an adult and understand I am responsible for my own actions. Thanks for the tip.

like i said before, saw this one coming (RR). hope you learned your lesson. unfortunately there will be nothing therx can do for you as they dispute with sportsbooks only, not touts. even though you are getting stiffed out of your money back by a veteran poster turned tout right here at therx.com. pretty unfortunate. if you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for his service picks?

hes been doing that for as long as hes posted here with that unrealistic chasing and what not. i heard another couple guys bitching about the same thing how they are losing there ass from his picks. one of them was a poster here. forgot his name but he had a guile street fighter guy in his avatar prety sad this site allows touts to use there forums to rip posters off, let alone an RX made tout. at least they are not allowed to post plays anymore and can use the site promos area only. its a start in the right direction anyway. gotta be responsible for your own actions also. chalk it up as a loss and lesson learned unfortunately.

sorry, I was too harsh.

He should give you a refund of your fees you paid to him since he promised that if his picks were not winners.

Mr Smith - No problem. Without knowing the value of his units the $10,000 claim does sound extreme.

The man - I don't expect the mods here to be able to get my refund. If they can that would be great but I understand they have no obligation to. As I said before, the main reason I am posting about this is to prevent others from making the same mistake I made. To answer your question he charged me $495. I figured at worst I would break even and get my money back. In reality I ended up with a small loss (not including the cost of his service).

This guy is SCUM, I was warned by a Mod not to criticize him. I tracked his pics last fall and they were a disaster. A favorite ploy of his after a losing wkend is to make Moday nite a 75* play. He is a master of "the chase" and the worst money manager there is. Other than that be sure and send him ALL your $$$! BTW that should read FRAUDfather!

ah, i see...why were you warned by a mod not to criticize rodfather?

one of the mods stated he knew or knows a friend or associate of the rodfather and was told rod is not an honorable, trustworthy man and his advice was run, dont walk. stated by an rx mod on this very site.

Not exactly a warning -- Actually the email was a simple request to give him a break.

Hello Silver7, I hope all is well, I am writing regarding TheRodfather. He has complained about you posting in his threads. I understand how you feel but would personally appreciate it if you would give him a break. He has been mailing all his plays into Rx. admin before they start and imo is making an honest effort to be above board. I have always enjoyed your input here at The Rx. and don't feel comfortable editing you or publicly asking you to leave TRF alone.

Again I would very much appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Regards, wilheim..

Silver , thanks for the reply. I am only asking that you leave him to his own threads, what you say in other threads (if civil) is up to you. I will be glad to call you anytime. Have a great Sunday.

As Always, wil...

for a site trying to crack down on the tout crap they sure do go out of there way to protect/harbor this particular tout as the core group of his clientele is right here from therx.com. no other gambling portal on the net allows this. draw your own conclusions...

No one is trying to protect anyone. What happened here is a typical case of moderating a dispute between posters. When I recieve a complaint I try to straighten it out. I asked Silver7 to give Rodfather a break and stay out of his threads - it was a request and not by any means a warning. I aslo stated he could start his own thread about Rodfather all he wanted as long as he kept it civil (no profanity).

All that is very clear in the emails if you take the time to read them.

By the way these emails are from last September.

Wil I Consider You

to be a polite and reasonable man. I have NO argument w/you. My comment re. "warned" was accurate IMO. For some reason everytime I see his (fraud) name I feel the urge to post. I hope I`m understanding the position you`re in. At any rate my new resolution is to not get embroiled in any more long winded diatribes where he`s concerned. How`m I doin so far? All the best to you. One more thing, there are inaccuracies & half truths in his original email to you but I`m not wasting any more of my precious Sunday morning on this.

hey wil, a suggestion. since you have touts such as rodney and kodiak gaining the bulk of there clientele through therx.com and one of the guys already emails his plays beforehand to rx admin. why cant someone from the admin post these touts records and units won or lost at the end of each season for each particular sport. in the promo section or something. would get to the bottom of who is honest and who is not. and its not like its a great deal of work to do so. thoughts?

Actually it is a lot of work and not something I have the time to do. Tracking a tout is a daily chore and quite frankly not my responsibility. The plays are recieved in the case that someone claims he recieved one side or a game and Rodfather says he sent something different. A third opinion so to speak. Up to now no one has made any claims that have required me to check a particular days plays. There are plenty of opportunities for subscribers to track Rodfather publicly in the Site Promotions and Tout Tracker forum.

thought it was a good idea myself. especially if the guy doesnt post his card/plays in the promo section himself, but emails them into admin. they certainly dont post it for him. so what is the point of all that in the first place then. phony as oklahoma sports monitor. would get to see for ourselves who has any intergrity around here thats for sure.

-----

As far as the Rx, monitoing his service goes - I can only say I keep the emails in my in-box as long as possible in order to settle disputes over a particular days card. I do not keep day to day totals for any touts. The Rx. is not a Tout tracking service.
