Well, an interesting day in sports yesterday. Oscar UNDER and Suns were easy money... I wish I had used Barbaro now, my was he impressive, though he did get a dream trip. And went 1-2 in the bases and lose half my profit in the fight and baskets, actually 505. Now 11-15-2 and down 1803 on the week in baseball... 29-36-3 and down 1628 for 2005.

No umpires fall into the club today; first time all year there's been a full card without anyone with a strike percentage outside of 60.5-to-64.5... Cousins is 6-2 O/U, Young is 6-0 O/U and T. Welke is 5-0 but the numbers don't support these guys keeping this up. I'm not involved with any totals, but will play one side both ML and RL.

After getting a close look at Santana's last 2 starts, I've noticed something: his changeup is looking like it has for most of the last few years. He had a rough start to '06 but now he looks poised to make a nice run now that his changeup - some call it the best pitch in baseball - has returned to his reportoire. The lefty was 2-0 vs. DET last season with an ERA of 3.00 in his 2 starts. Overall, Santana is 7-1 with a 2.82 ERA against the Tigers with 54 strikeouts and 18 walks in 60 2/3 innings pitched. He has won his last two starts, allowing only four runs and 13 hits with one walk and 19 strikeouts in 15 innings.

Maroth pitched six innings of 1-run ball Tuesday to move up to second in ERA in the AL behind Contreras. But, he's just 1-5 in the Metrodome with a 5.07 ERA in eight starts there. Twins finally broke through and beat the Tigers last night, and I expect Santana to outduel Maroth and for it to happen again, something along the lines of 5-1 or 5-2.

The play: MIN -147 - 588 to win 400 and
MIN -1.5 plus 158 - 300 to win 474

GL all!
