TORRE had a LOSING RECORD WITH THE METS,

A LOSING RECORD WITH CARDINALS, AND A LOSING RECORD WITH THE BRAVES.

A chimp would have won at least one world series win in '01, '02, '03, '04, '05, etc. Come Yanks one championship this century???

In all honesty and I believe this, I could pick 25 guys from this forum to get the Yankees to the playoffs....Torre is a good manager, but nothing many others could not be doing with this talent.

I said the same thing about Bobby Cox, in fact I think he actually cost his team victories with his poor managing in the 90's when they had the highest payroll in baseball similar to the Yankees today. I think you could put damn near anyone as a manager and with that talent they should win 90 games.

Here is the deal JOE TORRE is no PHIL JACKSON. Both handed all the talent in the world, both very overrated, ONE wins with his talent. (NBA even has ONE MORE round of playoffs to boot).
