Im playing the role of ICEMAN today.:lolBIG:

I cant imagine anyone spending time at this or any forum using dial-up. Think high speed internet is one of the main reasons for this forums growth over the last 2 years.

How could anyone invest 2 mins per thread waiting on slow download speed?

Once you've tasted high speed, dial up is BRUTAL.

You're NUTS if you're using dial up.

unfortunately (and this is a reality to networking people) dial up is and will remain an important player in the scene for quite a while

ISDN is a huge improvement (those in the bundocks might want to look into it) but many MANY users live in areas where there is no cable/dsl option available

I use dial up. The only real slow part on this website is "Log-Off".

Well I use to use Web-TV from my office and let me tell ya, that makes dial up look like the speed of light....I must have made 5000 posts using Web Tv.

I could not imagine using dial up again.

But its not all that good either. I only had dial up while on my winter holiday but fortunately I noticed my apartment was flooded with available radiation.

I agree Rob. I use dial-up when I'm staying in a hotel that doesn't have their wireless access working (there are a lot of them, believe me). If I don't have to download files it is quite acceptable, even at 33K.

I use dial up. I live out in the country so a high speed connection is out of the question. It really isn't that bad. I don't type that fast to need high speed connection. I can also play poker without any real problems. Much cheaper than dial up so I am happy.
