Ekman shoots the puck into an empty net after the whistle blows. The goalie and defender come and jump him and send his face first into the ice. Who gets the penalty? Ekman, unsportsmanlike??? Who cares if the guy put it in the net, it doesn't count big deal. Some refs are absolutely worthless!!!
Yeah I know about the unwritten rule, but come on calling a penalty? Fine go take a little shot at him, but how can you call that? I understand when you take a shot that someone gets hit by but the puck hit nothing but the back of the net. Just stupid, these guys take rink-long shots all the time when there is a delayed penalty and never call it.
