Lot of people had them picked to make the playoffs this year and they seem to be struggling. The offense looks a little dry and its harder for them to score recently, starting pitchers not as consistent, bullpen a major weakness. Failing to do the small things and come through in the clutch. This guy Michaels they traded for from the Reds is batting in the 2 slot and can't produce anything. Not sure if this is a phase or if this team is overrated from the get. Don't think they make the playoffs unless they turn it around here soon. A healthy Sabathia can only help, but this weak offensive output recently has me believing otherwise. Last 3 games they have failed to score more than 3 runs. Seattle twice and Royals once. They are supposed to be ranked amongst the top tier offensive clubs in the league, what is the deal?

Hitman,The Indians have a few things wrong,First they let the best pitcher they had in Millwood go because they didnt want to pay him 11 million which I could see that I wouldnt pay him that either and then pick up Paul Byrd who is garbage with a bad arm and pay him 7 miilion a yr.They also had the best bullpen in baseball last yr but they got cheap and let a few guys go in free agency and now i think they are near the bottom in the AL in bullpen ERA.They still have Casey Blake,Aaron Boone, and Ben Brousourd who can hit a baseball in the clutch when it counts see last yr in the last week of the season.Victor Martinez will have a bad second half he will be burned out because the Indians have no backup catcher and failed to get one because they are cheap.Jonny Peralta isnt hitting the baseball this yr and thats killing this lineup becaue he is hitting third and not getting on base or driving runs in.CC Sabathia probably is their best pitcher on the roster but he went to the David Wells school of being out of shape and he will only get hurt again before the year is out.Dont look for the Indians to make the playoffs this yr they dont have the arms or they wont make a big deal before the trading deadline to help them out because Dolan wont spend the money here to get this team over the hump and will BS the baseball fans in Cleveland saying they are getting better but they are a long way off before they get back to the World Series.:icon_conf :Sad Face: :nohead:
