Stepping forward today with my first personal play for the MLB season and I'm looking right at home here in the SF Bay Area. The Cubs come to town off 7 straight losses hitting roughly .220 over their last ten games and start left hander Hill who had one outing against Arizona and gave up 5 earned runs in 4 innings on 6 hits, with 2 home runs, 2 walks and 1 strikeout. Meanwhile, the Giants flew in early Monday morning from the evening game on Sunday night against Philadelphia yet took Oswalt to task last night, putting up 7 runs, and looked anything but tired. Tonight Schmidt starts following throwing a complete game 2-0 gem against Milwaukee and has begun to look like his old self once again. The weather out here is absolutely gorgeous with the temperatures in the 70's all around the Bay. The atmosphere of anticipation is in the air as Bonds returns to the line-up tonight. Feels like opening day but with possible history to be made. This team is closely knit and expect an excellent performance all around tonight. Hence,

1* San Francisco -1.5 (+132)(Pinnacle)

Good Luck All.

Savant:

Thank you. I'm watching this team almost everyday so hopefully I can pick a few spots that I think are live. This certainly looks like one of them to me.

Thank you. Always trying to help the forums. As for the CWS, I have no opinion. Sorry. Basically a homer and make very few plays during the year. Just look for spots that appear solid.

Mr. Leisure:

Great to hear. Just made my reservation today. Confirmed for August 18 through 20 at the Imperial Palace. Now just have to wait a bit to get my airline tickets hoping the price drops during the summer. See you there.

Glad to hear it. BTW, thanks for the help on the coding. Still not doing it correctly but it's coming out OK after I submit, then edit, go advanced, then code. I'm sure there is an easier way, but I haven't figured it out yet.

I don't think I have ever really had the chance to trade thoughts with you OMT. As I usually hang out in the Hockey and Bases forums. You must be in the football and hoops forums...I don't go in those much. Anyway, great call on this one, actually had SF in a nice 4 teamer that won...gl this year!!
