4-2 (+5.22 units) yesterday
67-71 (-17.83 units) overall

another winning night last night, winning both three unit plays. i finally picked a phillies game right. cut my deficit by over 25% the past couple of days. i would love to get it under 10 by the time this weekend is over.

arizona -123 vs pittsburgh (3 units)..............pirate pitcher is one of the worst in the big leagues. every once in a while the priates bats expode, but i don't think it will be today with the cold and rainy weather here in the northeast. the only problem that i see is that this looks way too easy, but i will bite.

white sox -125 vs angels (3 units)............Escobar only 1-9 career vs white sox. angles still struggling some and sox great at home. i cannot believe this line is so low. both of my three unit plays look so easy today. i am really expecting to win them both again.

atlanta -133 vs florida (2 units)............only a matter of time until willis of the marlins demands a trade. a great pitcher, but nothing to support him. why would he want to stay? only a matter of time until his performance starts to suffer if it has not already. as i stated earlier, it is the braves turn to get hot. they lost last night, but will not lose again today with hudson on the hill.

phillies -107 vs mets (2 units)...........phils were due for a really bad game, and they had it last night. they did not all of a sudden turn cold. i look for floyd of the phillies who is all or nothing, to give a great effort tonight.

phillies bringing up a rookie pitcher on friday, here is more about him..... International League opponents may throw a party to celebrate Hamels' departure, a bash nearly as big as the bash thrown by the Phillies faithful, who have been waiting, and anticipating.

"All of our baseball people feel like he's ready, that he can help us, that he can pitch in a big-league rotation," said manager Charlie Manuel. "I'm all for anything that can help our club."

That help comes after the 22-year-old Hamels baffled Triple-A hitters, compiling a 0.39 ERA and allowing just 10 hits in 23 innings, with 36 strikeouts against one walk. After watching Hamels blow away the competition for three straight starts, the Phillies couldn't wait.

The thought isn't that Hamels is going to just be OK. The feeling is that he's ready to dominate -- now.

i think this will inspire other philly pitchers, mainly young guys like floyd to pitch better knowing this young kid might take his place in the rotation. very important game for the fightin phils who want to pick up a game on the mets rather than fall further back to the mets in this series.

over 8 (-113) dodgers/astros (1 unit)......i have had alot of luck playing against the obvious total recently. great pitching matchups in that yanks/sox series that should have been pitchers duals, and they both went over. both teams here known for pitching a not hitting, and playing at the dodgers, another pitcher friendly park. should be another under one would think. i am going the opposite way again.

detroit -112 vs baltimore (1 unit).......simply taking the better team with the better pitcher. sometimes it is really that simple.

third night in a row i played 2 three unit, 2 two unit and 2 one unit plays and it has been working out for me, so i am not going to change a thing. i was ready to take a break a couple of days ago and now i am feeling confident again. i just hope it lasts.

good luck everybody!!

Hamels is just what the Phils need to stay in contention. Good luck with the plays.
